 Massive First Quarter News from BnFP

This is Vinnie (aka the Funk) from Big n Funky Productions... it's been a long minute since we have updated you guys on what's been happening here on the Mothership! Well... truth be told--- its because we have been uber busy and the website has fallen to the wayside a bit... but here goes:

WJHC AM is officially done! Since the premiere in December, I have been painstakingly re-editing this thing for a world wide release. Pretty stoked. We have not one BUT TWO distributors for this film, Burning Bulb Publishing and our old pals at Chip Taylor Communications (which handled "The Hike). Worldwide release and dvd/ Bluray sales should start in 8-9 weeks!

Speaking of "The Hike", we have tweaked it a hair this last week! We enjoyed so much success with its release last Juneteenth, with 36 awards and nominations on the festival circuit, positive media reviews and a spot on Amazon Prime, that we really are humbled. But after looking at the final product, we felt a few tweaks could be made to make the damned thing even better. We now have a different opening scene, which introduces the legend of Spearfinger, the importance of the necklace in the film, a bit of foreshadowing, some toilet humor, and some more Native American flava. THIS version will be released on DVD and Blu-Ray and will be released throughout the world within weeks. Thanks to Elton Locklear, Seavy Locklear, and John Anderson for the love.

We have two episodes of Wrestling With Ghosts from North and South Carolina in the can (Kandi's hometown haunts), which will be released on ASY TV, Mur-vul TV Network, Intrigue TV and Saltbox. We will let you know when they are released. PLUS! We had such a good time filming with Amy Hale (Sister Christian), Austin Wright and Kirby Simon's post credit parts for WJHC AM, that we will return to Hot Springs, Arkansas for a couple shoots for WWG this spring.

Camp Smokey's first teaser trailer... to be released in a week, CREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEPY. No jokes in this movie--- straight up horror. Good damn story buy Big Luke. Many of you LOVE Luke's character Arlo in WJHC AM, so this film is a vehicle for ole' Lukey and Tracy Yaste (Nancy) to carry. I believe its gonna blow yer minds. Kandi Thompson will also return to the screen in this one.

Speaking of Big Luke, we had the pleasure of shooting the new EmiSunshine music video for the song Ms. Anna from her new CD. The office loves the thing, and its a bit serious. Get your Kleenex ready.

Thanks to Amber Schultz, we have been on a TON of podcasts lately promoting WJHC AM. I will be updating the websites this week with all of the interesting show links and jive we have been on. We made some cool friends!

Many of the BnFP family, including Travis, Amber, Hack, Mike Standley, Gavin and Tracy have been cast in a short film shooting soon called “Logan's Chapel” written by Skyler Chaney. We will update you with that info soon.

The Craziest NYE Movie of All Time!

We had a premiere… but sneakily… it was also a test screening of WJHC AM. Cast members, movie goers, BnF P fans all chimed in on what they thought about the film. The intent was to fix issues and problems, but the consensus is that this film could be going places, and some people have said they’ve never heard an audience laugh that much over a long period of time before. WJHC AM Premiere!!!

The summer is rolling right along and Big N Funky Productions is funking right through it. The filming is completed for WJHC AM, and you can watch the newest teaser trailer above with that crazy theater kid Brittany Knappen playing the freakishly spooky Heavenly Messenger. This comedy horror is a fable about Y2K and the return of Christ asking the question: What would happen if a smart ass, out of place DJ had to defend a southern gospel radio station from the evils of the apocalypse? In this clip you'll get to experience many cast members as we showcase actual movie footage for the first time: Big Luke Walker, Travis Graves, Tracy Yaste, Kirby Gocke, comic Boston McNown, referee Pat Reilly, Sam Shultz, Amber Shultz, Comic/ Magician Danny Whitson, Tony "Hack" Covington, Keith Gavins, Danny Witmer, Hot Springs DJ Amy Hale, wrestler King Katie Gannon, The Walking Dead's Insane Lane, the southern gospel stylings of Jesse Lunsford, burlesque dancer Heather Noelle, Pro Wrestler "Rock-C" Sheena Layne, comedian Lance Adams's voice, Funkmaster V (Vinnie Vineyard) and his sister Leann's cat. The editing will start right away and should be done for Halloween.

Wrestling With Ghosts is Back!

After a year hiatus from ghost hunting, WWG is back. This week we are releasing episode 3.2 simply titled "Indian Cave". Kandi Thompson headed up this investigation, and the fellas loved this unique location so much that they decided to shoot much of their debut movie "The Hike" there. Things get pretty creepy in the back of that cave, and this episode features some gnarly EVPs and possible visual evidence of the paranormal. Not only is this episode going to air on ASY TV this week, it will be in the rotation at Intrigue TV: a small television network that broadcasts in 8 American cities from New York down to Memphis. We are excited! 

Episode 3.3 "The Horsefly Chronicles" is being edited this week and will be released in early September. This episode centers around an infamous private residence and a family that has been wrestling with a residing presence for years. This home even has a closed off room which they call "the portal", that features many haunted objects. 

Evil Tacos

ASY TV Owner Brandon Bishop is now in the movie making business, and his first movie will be a comedy horror (of course) starring Big Luke Walker and Funkmaster V. It's set to release in 2022. Here's what Brandon has to say about it:

"EVIL TACOS is in it's early production stages and we need YOU to make this delicious crispy horror comedy something that die hard fans of classics like Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Friday the 13th, Nightmare of Elm Street and others will add to their list of favorites!"
