 Big N Funky Updates Galore!

We've been quiet on the outside, but full of hectic funk on the inside. Over the last few months, some of the Big N Funky Crew have been doing things like tag team wrestling, wedding gigs, nightly concerts, shooting music videos and filming car commercials, but the Big N Funky stuff is cranking up a notch soon! Check it out!

Smoky Mountain Chronicles Toys!

We are excited to partner up with Rob at PhoenixComicsToys and are funkin' pumped to announce that we are releasing (at least) 2 action figures per movie... and that we will have 4 toys from the first two movies available through our merchandise store within weeks. Here's who to expect so far:

WJHC AM will be released on DVD/ Bluray and streaming soon so you can fall in love with those two new characters. The two figures from Camp Smokey will be announced in the summer.

Here Comes THE FUNK

 Massive First Quarter News from BnFP

This is Vinnie (aka the Funk) from Big n Funky Productions... it's been a long minute since we have updated you guys on what's been happening here on the Mothership! Well... truth be told--- its because we have been uber busy and the website has fallen to the wayside a bit... but here goes:

WJHC AM is officially done! Since the premiere in December, I have been painstakingly re-editing this thing for a world wide release. Pretty stoked. We have not one BUT TWO distributors for this film, Burning Bulb Publishing and our old pals at Chip Taylor Communications (which handled "The Hike). Worldwide release and dvd/ Bluray sales should start in 8-9 weeks!

Speaking of "The Hike", we have tweaked it a hair this last week! We enjoyed so much success with its release last Juneteenth, with 36 awards and nominations on the festival circuit, positive media reviews and a spot on Amazon Prime, that we really are humbled. But after looking at the final product, we felt a few tweaks could be made to make the damned thing even better. We now have a different opening scene, which introduces the legend of Spearfinger, the importance of the necklace in the film, a bit of foreshadowing, some toilet humor, and some more Native American flava. THIS version will be released on DVD and Blu-Ray and will be released throughout the world within weeks. Thanks to Elton Locklear, Seavy Locklear, and John Anderson for the love.

We have two episodes of Wrestling With Ghosts from North and South Carolina in the can (Kandi's hometown haunts), which will be released on ASY TV, Mur-vul TV Network, Intrigue TV and Saltbox. We will let you know when they are released. PLUS! We had such a good time filming with Amy Hale (Sister Christian), Austin Wright and Kirby Simon's post credit parts for WJHC AM, that we will return to Hot Springs, Arkansas for a couple shoots for WWG this spring.

Camp Smokey's first teaser trailer... to be released in a week, CREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEPY. No jokes in this movie--- straight up horror. Good damn story buy Big Luke. Many of you LOVE Luke's character Arlo in WJHC AM, so this film is a vehicle for ole' Lukey and Tracy Yaste (Nancy) to carry. I believe its gonna blow yer minds. Kandi Thompson will also return to the screen in this one.

Speaking of Big Luke, we had the pleasure of shooting the new EmiSunshine music video for the song Ms. Anna from her new CD. The office loves the thing, and its a bit serious. Get your Kleenex ready.

Thanks to Amber Schultz, we have been on a TON of podcasts lately promoting WJHC AM. I will be updating the websites this week with all of the interesting show links and jive we have been on. We made some cool friends!

Many of the BnFP family, including Travis, Amber, Hack, Mike Standley, Gavin and Tracy have been cast in a short film shooting soon called “Logan's Chapel” written by Skyler Chaney. We will update you with that info soon.
